Tuck Point: The process through which old, softer and worn mortar is removed to about ¾ “ deep with a power tool. It is then hand tooled back into place with a higher strength, and density mortar.
 The primary purpose of this function is to seal the masonry from water intrusion which occurs after the older, softer mortar  looses it’s  water resilience and begins to absorb water, thereby leaking. The proper term is Reappointing.

 Patching: Using acrylic mortar to match existing terra cotta, concrete steps. Some of the broken items are irreplaceable,  MRS can put it back together.

Chimney Cap: The top or cement crown is one of the most important elements of the chimney. Water that seeps into a chimney can cause big damage to the chimney if exposed to cold weather. The water that soaks into the masonry can freeze. Water expands as it freezes and breaks the bonds of all the mortar used to construct the chimney.
 
Rain Cap: protect your chimney from the elements, water infiltrations , sparks leaving the chimney, keeps animals and birds out of the flue.

Flashing: An important piece of your chimney to prevent leaks inside of your house or building. If not installed correctly, it could cause $100’s-$1,000’s of damage. MRS has the knowledge to install it right.
  
Restoration Cleaning: Including pressure washing and chemical cleaning. Atmospheric grime builds up on the masonry surface after decades. Cleaning the surface will bring out the treasure underneath.

Sealants:  Including caulking and sealants for the brick to seal the envelope of the house or building. The water repellents we use are far superior to those used in the past. They allow the building or house to breathe.

Brick Replacement: Remove damaged bricks and replace with salvaged bricks to match color, texture and mortar joint as best as possible.

Water proofing above and below grade: From hot fluid applied to bentonite  waterproofing. MRS has the technology to install the right product for the right project.

Graffiti Removal: MRS uses the latest materials and methods to remove paint on structures, so it does not end up with permanent scars after the senseless act of graffiti.

Cultured Stone:  Products are manufactured as concrete poured into a mold with different  texture  and then colored to look like real stone.
